Marinai arrestati in India: ci fu un attacco di pirati vicino a Kochi, lo dice l'International Maritime Bureau

Sul fatto che quel 15 febbraio ci fossero dei pirati in zona non sembrerebbero esserci più dubbi, considerato il rapporto del IMB (International Maritime Bureau) della ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). Infatti, questo rapporto  asserisce che il giorno 15 febbraio, quello dell'uccisione dei due pescatori indiani, in zona vi erano anche due imbarcazioni di pirati che fecero un tentativo di attacco nei confronti di un crude tanker:

Militari italiani arrestati in India: comunicato del Governo indiano

Questo il comunicato presente sul sito del Governo indiano in merito alla vicenda dei due militari italiani accusati di omicidio. Comunicato piuttosto laconico.

Italian naval guards remanded to 3 days police custody

In Kerela, the two Italian naval guards of Vessel Enrica Lexie charged with the killing of two Indian fishermen off Kerala coast were today remanded to three-day police custody. The Naval guards - Latore Massimiliano and Salvatore Girone - were produced before Judicial Magistrate at his residence at Karunagapally in Kollam District amidst tight security.

First Class Judicial Magistrate K P Joy remanded the two accused to judicial custody till March 5, but handed them over to investigators accepting a police plea for further questioning. Both the accused have been taken back to Kochi.

The Italian duo allegedly involved in murdering two fishermen last week off Kerala coast were arrested yesterday at Kochi after days of diplomatic activity between India and Italy. Kerala police have already charged a case for murder under section 302 of IPC .

The two Italian marines have been charged with murder under Section 302 of the IPC.

In sostanza il giudice ha rinviato tutto al 5 marzo, lasciando i due militari italiani in custodia alla polizia che ha facoltà di  interrogarli.
