Cos'è il blorking?

Secondo Urban dictionary blorking viene dall'unione delle due parole blogging e work e vuol dire scrivere un blog per lavoro o cose del genere, che è un po' il sogno di tutti quanti scrivono sulla rete: scrivere due stupidaggini ed essere pure pagati.

L'idea che è venuta a Dave Winer, il cosiddetto padre dei blog e degli RSS, e che lui definisce blorking, almeno per lui, sembra iscriversi nel medesimo filone. Infatti, all'intervistatore che gli chiede ma cos'è blorking?, risponde

“Blorking is like Twitter but without the company in the middle of it. It’s an open Twitter.”

Quindi Blorking è qualcosa di nuovo, un nuovo social, meno azienda e più aperto. E perchè si sente il bisogno di un nuovo social o qualunque cosa sia? Perchè

“Twitter is mostly about ‘grunting and snorting’ but it could be much more”

Tanto per dire, grunt e snort stanno per grugnire e sbuffare. Twitter è in buona parte grunt e snort ma potrebbe essere molto di più. Una critica che si fa alle conversazioni online riguarda la loro superficialità. In un'intervista,  il nostro Dave all'osservazione

Some people complain that most online conversations are shalow. I’m just afraid that most conversations are shallow.

Absolutely. But there is a Picasso or a Hemingway out there who can make beautiful art in this medium. Who can inspire us. Who can show us who we are, through this medium. We have to think about tools for that person, not just for the average person.
